After the code Catastrophic day on Saturday there was plenty of maintenance to do in the garden. We removed the shades from the tomatoes and peas (poor peas were blanched by the first hot day), looked at the potatoes that seem to be suffering heat stroke (we will give them a few soakings and see if they revive) and the plants on the Elizium bank that seem to be feeling faint (more water for a couple of days) and fixed two dripper malfunctions.
In the meantime Jamie slashed around some parts of the vegie garden – making it look very cared for.
Finally into the garden to start preparing to plant the broccoli and lettuce.
In the afternoon I returned to work on the mandala fence line – part of the strategy for keeping kikuya out of the mandala garden. Will paper and mulch when I get a chance.
