Arriving in the garden this morning it was very overcast and the predicted rain felt close.  It was compost turning morning, but I suddenly realised the grass was quite dry (unusual as most mornings it is very damp) and that I could mow.  So I had the satisfaction of mowing some of the areas that I had not got to previously.

Then onto the compost, which is progressing well. Still a little warmth and a few worms but no real sign of plants etc.

Finally I put some of the straw from the chook house around the leeks to encourage them to get bigger and a greater white area.

Turning the compost provided an opportunity to admire the garden from a new perspective.
