One of my new resolutions (already forming, but encouraged by reading Jahren, Lab Girl), is to do more feeding of the vegetable plants rather than assume good soil is enough.  So Wednesday is to be feeding day.

I am not entirely clear about what I should be using for feed and need to get onto making  comfrey and compost teas, but today I used Seasol.  I immediately found one  advantage of this regime in that I weeded the garlic as I fed it and then weeded the asparagus beds by moving the mulch off (and spying some emerging spears😁).However it is quite a slow job.

the mowing blitz enabled by some sunny weather continues and most of the areas around the veggie garden have been mowed.
